Funky, eclectic and fun have been some of the terms used to describe Bobby Yang’s designs. Making his debut at the prestigious Milan Furniture Fair, Yang has impressed art critics and designers alike with his stylistic collection of home wares.

Kiel Ong, owner of Area Interior Architecture, also the founder of Dot International: an network community of designers, noticed Bobby when the latter was completing his internship stint at Area Interior Architecture. Yang was then invited to participate in this prestigious event.

“G + Mask”, his entry inspired by overseas travels, forms the basis for bringing together Asian influences, shapes and forms. His designs reflect meticulous detail to curves, clean lines and stark contrasts, making them coveted among many.

Still fresh from his trip, Bobby was inspired by the vibrancy and creative vision of exhibitors at the Milan Furniture Fair. His long-term ambitions are to market his designs commercially, as well as to cater to the private collector.

Bobby Yang has graduated from Raffles Design Institute with a Bachelor of Arts (Product Design) in 2004. His experience with us has been “captivating” and “exciting”, and he is grateful for the valuable opportunities as provided by Julie Ross, Programme Director of 3D Design.

We wish Bobby success in his endeavours and look forward to celebrating his future achievements!
