Dorothy graduated from University and started her career in banking for the next several years. However, she always felt something is missing and after some soul searching, she decided to do what she loves most. To create things! Dorothy has always been in the business of creating, be it knitting a sweater, baking butter biscuits or stenciling Christmas cards. It gives her an immense sense of satisfaction.

Therefore she traded in her spreadsheets and conference calls for a tape measure and fabric hunts.

She enrolled into Raffles Design Institute’s Fashion Design programme and upon completion of her course, she started her own label, Dotted Line.

Dotted Line caters to working women in achieving the delicate balance between professional image with comfortable that is suitable for work, occasional cocktail parties or weekend getaways. And to maintain exclusivity, Dotted Line’s designs are kept within very limited quantities.

Dorothy’s courage to forgo her career in the banking sector for fashion design has paid off and her story was featured in Career Blueprint, a 30 minute Info-Ed programme about people who change careers, and how they pursue their passions and its rewards.
